Beginning Quilting

Learn the basics of quilting by making this Rail Fence quilt. Students will learn how to use the rotary cutter and quilt ruler to make accurate cuts as well as accurate piecing, squaring up blocks and correcting pressing/ironing. Students must provide their own fabric and thread. This is a 8 hour class to be taken in 3-4 sessions with homework.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Beginning Quilters must be familiar with the sewing machine and sewing notions as well as keeping a consistent seam allowance. Instruction will be provided on using the rotary cutting tools.
Materials Included: Sewing machine, cutting and measuring tools
Requirements: Students are responsible for furnishing their own jelly roll of fabric and matching thread.
This class is charged by the each 2-hour block of sewing time.
